Job summary

The Senior Analytics Engineer at Aitx-1 is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the organization's enterprise analytics solutions by transforming data into trusted, scalable information that informs decisions. Starting from the bronze layer, you own data curation, transformations, and modeling across medallion architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Analytics or related field.
• 7+ years in data/analytics engineering, BI, or related roles.
• Experience designing dimensional and semantic data models.
• Experience developing modern dashboards and analytical apps.
• Strong data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Power BI, and related MS data tech.
• Experience with medallion data architectures.
• Knowledge of APIs, cloud integration, and event-driven architectures.
• Understanding of emerging agentic AI solutions.
• Experience supporting AI/ML or advanced analytics initiatives.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview or other governance platforms.
• Experience working with SAP.
• Experience in regulated or asset-intensive industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain curated silver and gold data products following medallion architecture.
• Develop scalable enterprise data models, dimensional models, and semantic models.
• Create reusable business metrics and standardized calculations for reporting.
• Maintain enterprise data products and semantic models to meet evolving needs.
• Develop scalable dashboards, scorecards, executive reporting, and self-service analytics.
• Translate business requirements into intuitive analytical solutions.
• Design reporting solutions that simplify the reporting environment and improve usability.
• Promote governed semantic models and retire redundant reports.
• Improve reporting performance, adoption, and user experience.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify data-driven opportunities.
• Partner with Data Governance to improve data quality and lineage.
• Implement AI-ready data products and enterprise AI capabilities.
