Job summary

Valon is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to own client reporting data models and pipelines. You will transform raw data into reliable, structured assets for reporting, analysis, and AI initiatives, sitting at the intersection of analytics and data engineering.

You will standardize data models, manage analytical workflows, and provide hands-on support for high-stakes operations, including reporting and performance management across internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a similar role.
• Proficient in SQL and Python.
• Strong experience with dbt and Airflow.
• Experience with Looker/Hex or similar visualization tools.
• Clear communicator with clients and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of data contracts and observability.

Responsibilities

• Own client reporting data models and pipelines end-to-end.
• Design and maintain production-grade data models and analytical layers.
• Collaborate with data team and external clients to ensure reliable reporting.
• Develop dashboards and perform ad hoc analyses to drive insights.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and auditable data assets.
