Vanta is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to lay the foundation for a best-in-class analytics function. You’ll partner with our data science team and business stakeholders to ensure that our analytics stack and processes meet the business needs today with an eye towards the future.

You’ll design complex data models, write highly tuned SQL across large data warehouses, enable AI tooling with semantic layers and observability, and help expose analytics enterprise-wide.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of data experience with at least two years in software engineering or a related field.
• Experience with analytics tooling (dbt is a must, Stitch/Fivetran, Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift, Airflow, Dagster, Looker/Mode/Sigma).
• Ability to design dimensional and fact models for modern data stacks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex data models for dashboards, self-serve analytics, and data science teams.
• Write highly tuned, scalable SQL queries over large-scale data warehouses.
• Enable AI tooling with semantic layers and observability for analytics.
• Manage and improve data infrastructure to drive data-driven decisions.
• Help develop front end applications to expose analytical data enterprise-wide.
• Collaborate with Product and Corporate Engineering to structure source systems for reporting.
