Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to own the semantic layer and governance for a Snowflake-based analytics platform. You will define metric logic for ARR/NARR and retention, and partner with IT and Data Engineering to ensure consistent downstream consumption.

You will lead the design of the metric registry, enable AI-native analytics, and evolve Power BI dashboards to deliver integrated business views across finance, product, and commercial data.

Competenze

• 8+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, BI, or data architecture with ownership of production analytical models.
• Advanced SQL and deep expertise in dimensional and semantic modeling on a modern cloud data platform.
• Experience building enterprise BI and governed self-service reporting at scale.
• Experience implementing governed business metrics, reconciliation controls, and consistent analytical definitions across enterprise reporting environments.
• Strong habit of starting from the business question to guide how to build the data and metrics.

• Design and build governed analytical data models and the semantic layer in Snowflake.
• Establish a machine-readable metric and context registry for consistent interpretation across BI and AI interfaces.
• Integrate acquired businesses into the governed metric layer and align historical definitions.
• Develop AI-native analytics capabilities on Snowflake Cortex and govern semantic models.
• Evolve Power BI to provide integrated cross-functional views connecting commercial activity, product performance, and financial outcomes.
• Set technical standards and reusable patterns for analysts and engineers to work efficiently.
