Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) is seeking an Analytics Developer to power data-driven decisions across a leading academic health system.

You will build Power BI dashboards, model analytics-ready data in Snowflake, and enforce data governance and HIPAA-aligned access controls. You will translate questions into governed metrics, address data quality, and collaborate with engineering and data science teams to improve reliability and adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years analytics/BI experience in healthcare.
• Advanced SQL and dimensional modeling experience.
• Power BI expertise with DAX, M, semantic models and RLS.
• Practical data governance and metadata management with Alation.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted, reusable Power BI datasets and dashboards.
• Model analytics-ready data in Snowflake (views, performance tuning).
• Apply data governance and protect PHI/PII per HIPAA and internal policy.
• Translate stakeholder questions into governed metrics and clear stories.
• Identify and address data quality issues and raise data trust.
• Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to improve reliability.
• Lead medium-to-large initiatives and mentor analytics developers.
