Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in computer science or a quantitative field.
• 12+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering with analytics partnership, or equivalent.
• Expert‑level SQL and strong Python proficiency for advanced data work, with a modern data stack experience.
• Experience with data governance tooling, including data catalogs, lineage systems, and policy‑aware access patterns.
• Exceptional cross‑functional leadership skills with influence across engineering and product teams.
• Strong technical communication, able to explain complex modeling decisions to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Data Product Ownership: Design, build, and evolve high‑scale dbt models that transform raw inputs into analytics‑ready data products with clear contracts and ownership.
• Agent‑Safe Infrastructure: Implement guardrails, metadata descriptions, and approved access paths so AI tools query data accurately while preserving governance.
• Semantic Evolution: Define how metrics are exposed so analytics and AI tools return consistent answers.
• Friction Elimination: Translate analyst pain points into durable models, patterns, and interfaces.
• Quality & Governance: Embed testing, freshness, catalogs, and metadata ownership in the development lifecycle.
• Cross‑Functional Alignment: Map use cases across platforms and reduce cycle times from question to trusted answer.
• Leadership & Enablement: Establish global patterns and lead technical reviews and mentoring.
