Job summary

Yokogawa is seeking an Analytical Systems Engineer to deliver customer satisfaction by applying chemical engineering knowledge to the analysis, design, and implementation of analytical systems. Focus areas include gas chromatographs, CEMS, process analyzers, and sample conditioning, with autonomous task execution and SME leadership on technical decisions.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Chemical or Electrical Engineering with 6–10 years of analytical systems experience.
In-depth knowledge of analytical instrumentation, electrical systems, and control integration.
Strong communication and ability to work independently; drafting is a plus.

Responsibilities

Analyze customer specifications and process docs to design analytical system solutions.
Use chromatograph software, process sims, and data acquisition tools to validate strategies.
Engineer and implement software/hardware enhancements to improve performance and compliance.
Document designs, configurations, and validation procedures.
Perform system testing, calibration, and commissioning per safety and performance standards.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
Troubleshoot and optimize systems including sample handling, analyzers, and DCS/PLC integration.
Stay current on analytical technologies and environmental regulations.
Attend project meetings and site visits as technical lead.
