Job summary

MilliporeSigma is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist to analyze samples from the Process and Analytical Development (PAD) group and develop analytical methods to support PAD for eventual validation or use in cGMP. You will work with HPLC, GC, DSC, TGA, IR, MS, NMR, XRPD and related assays, solving problems with minimal guidance.

You will review data, maintain project timing, and interact with clients to ensure project goals are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related Life Science discipline.
• 5+ years experience in an analytical laboratory environment operating under GLP or cGMP conditions.
• Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related Life Science discipline.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Adequate technical writing skills to generate development reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate analytical test methods for products, intermediates, and raw materials.
• Perform analytical testing using HPLC, GC, DSC, TGA, IR, MS, NMR, XRPD, and related instrumentation and interpret analytical data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex technical problems with minimal guidance.
• Document laboratory activities accurately and review, interpret, and report analytical data.
• Support the development of specifications for products, intermediates, and raw materials.
• Transfer analytical methods to Quality Control and train personnel on equipment and procedures.
• Install, qualify, calibrate, maintain, and verify analytical and related laboratory equipment.
• Prepare and evaluate protocols, reports, SOPs, and other documentation while meeting safety and regulatory requirements.
