Job summary

Janux Therapeutics in San Diego, CA is seeking a Senior Research Associate to design and execute experiments and analyze samples using HPLC, CE-SDS, iCIEF, and plate-based assays to support CMC, discovery, and early clinical development.

This hands-on role requires meticulous documentation, collaboration with team leaders, and the ability to communicate results for regulatory filings and future clinical candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4–6 years of experience or Master’s with 3–5 years in industry.
• Strong bench skills and experience with protein biologics and peptides.
• Proficient with HPLC/UPLC; SEC and RP preferred.
• Experience with CE-SDS, iCIEF or similar electrophoretic methods.
• Experience performing ELISAs is desirable.
• Experience supporting analytical method qualification, stability, and formulation studies.
• Ability to analyze complex datasets and communicate conclusions.
• Excellent computer skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform HPLC/UPLC assays including SEC/RP with minimal supervision.
• Execute CE-SDS and iCIEF analyses for protein therapeutics and qualify methods.
• Conduct ELISAs for potency and DLS/SLS with UNcle for formulation studies.
• Perform subvisible particulate analysis by HIAC and support stability studies.
• Design, conduct, and report experiments; summarize results for meetings/regulatory filings.
• Write and manage SOPs and test methods; maintain reagents and lab equipment.
• Draft development reports, method qualification protocols and reports.
• Prepare team presentations and work with leaders to hit milestones.
• Possibly train others and maintain GDP-compliant documentation.
