Job summary

Certified Group is seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to join a team delivering advanced testing for dietary supplements, cosmetics, and related products. The role focuses on generating, interpreting, and reviewing data, troubleshooting instrumentation, and supporting method development to meet quality and regulatory standards.

The candidate will work with HPLC, GC, LC/MS, ICP-MS, GC/MS, ICP-OES, UV-Vis, FTIR, and other methods, ensuring data integrity and compliance with GLP, GMP, GDP, and ISO

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline.
• Minimum five years of analytical laboratory experience.
• Advanced knowledge of analytical chemistry principles and instrumentation.
• Experience with GLP, GMP, GDP, and ISO 17025 requirements.
• Experience in method development, validation, and troubleshooting preferred.
• Experience mentoring laboratory personnel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analytical testing using techniques such as HPLC, GC, LC/MS, GC/MS, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, UV-Vis, FTIR, titration, gravimetric analysis.
• Prepare samples, standards, reagents, calibration solutions, and QC materials per procedures.
• Review, interpret, and evaluate analytical data for accuracy, reliability, and quality compliance.
• Identify atypical or out-of-spec results and assist with investigations and corrective actions.
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation; perform IQ/OQ/PQ activities where applicable.
• Participate in proficiency testing and ISO 17025 compliance activities.
• Maintain analytical records, instrument logs, calibration records, and quality docs.
• Assist in development, optimization, validation, and implementation of methods and procedures.
• Draft and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Train and mentor laboratory personnel on techniques and quality systems.
