Job Description

Position Purpose

Under guidance from the Manager, Supply Chain Optimization and Design, this role will lead CHEP supply chain network optimization projects, analyze outputs, and recommend changes to reduce the approximately $1.6B direct cost spend for North America. Responsibilities include coordinating data gathering, conducting analysis in the Llamasoft supply chain model, reviewing outputs, and working with teams to determine achievable supply chain improvements. Collaboration with Planning and Operations teams to identify and implement flow optimization opportunities is essential.

Major / Key Accountabilities

• Lead supply chain optimization projects using LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru software.
• Gather feedback and leads on supply chain opportunities from partner teams in transportation, real estate, operations, and planning.
• Analyze “what-if” scenarios to prepare cost/benefit analyses of proposed changes.
• Present findings to senior management and secure buy-in for recommendations.
• Evaluate new customer portfolios and TPM partnership impacts on supply chain costs.
• Analyze modeled lanes versus historical lanes to identify and lead cross-functional flow optimization initiatives.
• Recommend opportunities for supply chain cost reduction through accurate modeling and network optimization.
• Develop and execute implementation plans to realize supply chain savings.
• Develop methodologies to track savings from network changes.
• Maintain relationships with key supply chain contacts.
• Become an expert in Supply Chain Guru software and lead cost analyses for potential modifications.
• Support modeling needs across various business groups and functions.
• Drive improvements in model performance and functionality.
• Create reports and conduct meetings to share insights with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS, BA or equivalent with 2+ years of related experience in supply chain or business.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in supply chains.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with data analysis and manipulation of large datasets.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with databases.
• Deep understanding of supply chain theory.
• Ability to collaborate across cultures and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
• Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple goals and work independently.
• Excellent presentation and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of Llamasoft Supply Chain Guru software is a plus.
• Knowledge of the CHEP North American Supply Chain is highly desirable.
