Job summary
Energy Dome is seeking a Senior Analyst for Resource Planning & Market Policy to provide technical expertise on resource adequacy, IRP, capacity accreditation, and storage valuation. You will translate complex planning concepts into actionable policy positions supporting regulatory and commercial objectives.
The role involves evaluating planning methodologies, participating in stakeholder engagement, and shaping strategy across North American markets for long-duration energy storage technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, energy systems, operations research, environmental science, public policy, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in utility planning, energy markets, resource adequacy, storage analysis, regulatory affairs, consulting, or related field.
Responsibilities
- Analyze IRPs, reliability assessments, and resource adequacy studies across key markets.
- Evaluate how storage and other resources are represented within planning processes.
- Monitor capacity accreditation methodologies used by ISOs/RTOs, utilities, and regulators.
- Assess accreditation frameworks implications on storage economics, market participation, and investments.
- Develop recommendations on best practices for capacity valuation and resource adequacy.
