Job summary

Caris Life Sciences seeks a Senior Analyst, SEC Reporting to support the external financial reporting process, including quarterly and annual SEC filings and related disclosures.

In this role you will coordinate XBRL tagging, maintain filing calendars, review financial statements, and assist with audit readiness across multiple reporting cycles in a public company environment. Strong US GAAP knowledge and SOX experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Experience with quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q/10-K/8-K).
  • Experience with SOX/internal controls and audit support.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and own sections of quarterly and annual SEC filings.
  • Prepare financial statements, footnote disclosures, and schedules.
  • Coordinate XBRL tagging and liaise with third-party providers.
  • Maintain filing calendars and supporting documentation.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close related to external reporting.
  • Assist auditors with requests and remediations.

This role helps ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the Company’s public reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and Company policies and procedures.The Senior Analyst, SEC Reporting will support key reporting activities including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, earnings release materials, financial statement tie-outs, disclosure checklists, XBRL review, and audit support. This role will also conduct technical accounting research, implementation of new accounting standards, and ongoing process improvements within a growing public company environment.This role partners closely with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Internal Audit, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury, and external auditors to support timely, accurate, and transparent financial reporting.Job ResponsibilitiesSEC Reporting & External DisclosuresPrepare and own assigned sections of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and other required filings, as applicablePrepare and maintain financial statements, footnote disclosures, supporting schedules, and disclosure tie-outsServe as primary coordinator for XBRL tagging and review processes, including coordination with third-party service providersMaintain detailed filing calendars, reporting checklists, and documentation to support timely completion of SEC reporting deliverablesFinancial Close & Reporting SupportSupport the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes as they relate to external financial reportingPrepare and review reporting schedules, variance analyses, and account reconciliations supporting SEC filings and management reportingPerform detailed tie-outs of financial statements, footnotes, and other external reporting materials to supporting documentationEnsure consistency and accuracy of financial information across SEC filings, earnings materials, and internal reporting packagesTechnical Accounting & ComplianceConduct technical accounting research and preparation of accounting memos for complex transactions and new accounting pronouncementsEvaluate disclosure impacts of new accounting standards and assist with implementation effortsPartner with Accounting and Finance teams to evaluate the reporting implications of new transactions, contracts, or business activitiesInternal Controls & Audit SupportServe as primary preparer for quarterly reviews and annual audits by preparing audit schedules, responding to auditor requests, and coordinating supporting documentationCoordinate critical filing milestones and reporting deliverables across stakeholders for SEC reporting controls, disclosure controls, and related reporting processesPartner with Internal Audit and external auditors to support testing, walkthroughs, and remediation activities, as neededRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related fieldCPA required3-5 years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience, including 2+ years of public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred)Preferred QualificationsStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirementsExperience supporting quarterly and annual financial reporting processesStrong understanding of financial statements, footnote disclosures, account reconciliations, and financial statement tie-outsExperience with SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit supportAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and WordHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, completeness, and documentationPublic accounting experience and/or public company reporting experienceExperience preparing or supporting Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and other SEC filingsExperience with ERP and financial reporting systems such as Oracle, Workiva, or similar platformsExperience in life sciences, healthcare, diagnostics, or other regulated industriesStrong technical accounting research and memo-writing skillsPhysical DemandsMust possess ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of timeMust possess ability to perform repetitive motionTrainingAll job specific, safety, and compliance trainings are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee.OtherAt times, may be required to work weekends/holidays.Conditions of Employment: Individual must successfully complete pre-employment process, which includes criminal background check, drug screening, credit check ( applicable for certain positions) and reference verification.This job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions.
