Siemens Digital Industries Software seeks a Commercial Analytics Analyst to join the central analytics team supporting Sales Operations and GTM leadership. You will own analyses end-to-end—from framing questions to delivering executive-ready recommendations.
The role is in a newly formed practice, shaping how work is done, building reusable analytical frameworks, and partnering with finance, renewals, and sales leadership across regions.
We are a leading global software company dedicated to the world of computer aided design, 3D modeling and simulation— helping innovative global manufacturers design better products, faster! With the resources of a large company, and the energy of a software start-up, we have fun together while creating a world class software portfolio. Our culture encourages creativity, welcomes fresh thinking, and focuses on growth, so our people, our business, and our customers can achieve their full potential.
This role sits within the central commercial analytics team and serves Sales Operations and GTM leadership as its primary stakeholders.
The analyst owns analyses end to end: framing an ambiguous business question, acquiring and validating the data, choosing the method, and delivering a recommendation to senior stakeholders. Output is insight and recommended action, not recurring reporting.
The team is newly formed and the practice is actively being built. Methods, standards, and the analytical toolkit are being established now rather than inherited. The ambition is a mature, state-of-the-art commercial analytics function, and the person in this role will help build it. This is a good fit for someone who wants to shape how the work is done, and a poor fit for someone who wants established infrastructure and a defined remit on day one.
Advanced Excel modeling. Strong SQL. Comfortable with large, imperfect, multi-source datasets
Applied statistical analysis on observational business data: regression, cohort and survival analysis, driver decomposition, sensitivity and scenario modeling. Can state the assumptions a method rests on and what breaks them
Comfortable selecting across diagnostic techniques rather than applying one. Moves between unfamiliar subject areas without a long ramp, and works productively when priorities shift
Sufficient working knowledge of Python or R to write, read, audit, adapt, and debug analytical code, including AI-generated code. Authoring speed matters less than the ability to verify what the code actually does
CRM data, ideally Salesforce. ERP exposure, ideally SAP
Tableau or Power BI to a production standard
Proven record translating analysis into executive decisions. Presents to senior leadership without an intermediary
Takes a vague or poorly framed question and returns a scoped approach, not a request for specification
