Job summary

Comcast is seeking a senior finance professional to provide timely financial and operational analysis to the senior leadership team in support of decision-making. The role oversees accounting transactions and ensures GAAP-compliant books and reporting in line with company policy.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee P&L financial reporting for Connectivity & Platforms with complete and accurate results for stakeholders.
• Provide budget, forecast, and variance analysis with insights to improve financial management.
• Prepare monthly results analysis for senior leadership: revenue, operating expenses, headcount, and drivers.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Financial Applications, Accounting, Corporate, and Investor Relations for reporting updates.
• Contribute to special projects with financial expertise to drive project success.
• Perform duties with advanced Excel, Hyperion Essbase/Smart View, and OneStream proficiency.
• Partner with business leaders to support finance-related strategic growth and operational effectiveness.
• Demonstrate independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
• Maintain consistent attendance; capable of night/weekend/overtime work as needed.
• Adhere to Comcast Operating Principles and drive customer-centric results.

Job Summary

This job involves providing the senior leadership team with timely financial and operational analysis to facilitate sound business decisions. Responsible for providing financial and operational analysis to senior management in support of business unit decision-making, looking for risks and opportunities. Oversees accounting transactions and maintains books of accounts, ensuring that all financial data is recorded within generally accepted accounting principles consistent with Company policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversees P&L financial reporting for Connectivity & Platforms ensuring completeness & accuracy of results for key stakeholders.
• Providing budget, forecast, and variance analysis, offering insights and recommendations to improve financial management
• Prepares the monthly analysis of results for the senior leadership team including revenue and operating expense variance analysis, personnel cost analysis, headcount reporting, and other analysis on the key operational drivers of the financial results.
• Partners with various teams such as FP&A, Financial Applications, Accounting, Corporate, and Investor Relations to understand reporting updates and maintain consistent reporting across the company.
• Collaborating on special projects, offering financial expertise and analysis to drive project success
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Hyperion Essbase/Smart View, and OneStream preferred.
• Performs additional Business Operations duties and tasks as required.
• Partnering with business leaders to deliver on finance projects that support decision-making on strategic growth and operational effectiveness
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime, as necessary.
