Job summary

Carter's Inc. is seeking a Real Estate Analyst to help grow the business by analyzing data and guiding store location decisions. This role collaborates with real estate, finance, and other teams to deliver insights across a multi-store portfolio and reports to the Sr.

Director, Real Estate Strategy & Analytics. The position splits 50/50 between Real Estate Support and Real Estate Analysis, handling pipeline reporting, forecasting tools, portfolio reviews, and presentations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in financial or real estate analysis in retail
• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Real Estate or related field
• Strong communication and data storytelling skills
• Proficient in Excel, SQL or Power BI; CoStar, GIS mapping a plus
• Strong written & verbal communication; FP&A terminology familiarity
• Knowledge of Real Estate Finance Proformas

Responsibilities

• Provide data-driven insights for North American real estate portfolio
• Lead for CRI forecasting and optimization tool
• Manage real estate pipeline reporting with finance, accounting, and legal
• Ad hoc requests to support forecasting, planning, and analysis of the real estate portfolio
• Prepare analyses and presentations for portfolio reviews and new store opportunities
• Update quarterly fleet performance reports and pipeline management via CoStar and databases

How you'll make an impact:

The Real Estate Analyst supports the company’s growth by analyzing data and helping the team make informed decisions about store locations and performance. This role works closely with real estate, finance, and other teams to provide insights and reporting across a multi-store portfolio.

This role reports to the Sr. Director, Real Estate Strategy & Analytics

Real Estate Support (50%):

• Provide data driven insights for North American real estate portfolio (store fleet)
• Primary lead for CRI proprietary forecasting and optimization tool to help drive data driven Real Estate decisions
• Management of real estate pipeline reporting including interaction with finance, accounting, and legal
• Ad hoc requests to support the forecasting, planning, and analysis of the Company's real estate portfolio

Real Estate Analysis (50%)

• Prepare analyses and presentations for the monthly portfolio review and new store opportunities
• Manage Pipeline Management reporting via CoStar transaction module and other databases
• Updating and maintenance of quarterly fleet performance reports shared across Carters
• Ability to adapt data into storytelling and adjust to various audiences

We’d Love to hear from you if:

• 3+ years in financial analysis, real estate analysis or related retail analysis
• Bachelor’s degree required (Business Management, Finance, Real Estate, or related field preferred)
• Strong communication and data storytelling skills- convert complex analytical findings into clear, impactful messages
• Proficient in Excel, SQL or Power BI tools; CoStar, mapping proficiency with GIS platforms a plus
• Strong written & verbal communication skills, general understanding of Retail KPIs and FP&A terminology
• Excellent attention to detail
• Working knowledge of Real Estate Finance Proformas with understanding of financial definitions
• Self-motivated and intellectually curious – seeks opportunities to improve analysis and the business without being asked
• Assisting in administrative functions to manage and complete presentations

Preferred skills and experience:

• Team player who thrives on working across multiple functions, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with executive level leaders.
• Experience with statistical models and AI platforms a plus
