Washington Nationals seek a Senior Analyst, Player Projections - Amateur Acquisitions to build models predicting draft-eligible player performance and support acquisition decisions. You will engage with scouts and leadership to improve organizational forecasting and decision making, leveraging statistics, probabilistic programming, and ML to inform on-field outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-stakes decision-making under uncertainty.
• Proficiency in programming and AI agent integration (Python, R, etc.).
• Strong background in statistical modeling, forecasting, and probabilistic programming (Stan, PyMC, etc.).
• Knowledge of machine learning methods and model evaluation.
• Data engineering and pipelining with SQL.
• Ability to communicate technical baseball research to diverse stakeholders.
• Deep interest in amateur baseball (college, HS showcases, draft).
• Excellent communication, project management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, confidential environment.
