Job summary

Ameriprise Financial seeks a seasoned investment researcher to lead due diligence for Liquid Alternatives across mutual funds, SMAs, and ETFs. Qualifications

• 5+ years in investment research or related roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Investments, or related field.
• Experience evaluating investment products and managers using qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Proficiency with FactSet, Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg or similar tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including presenting to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to manage a research coverage universe independently.
• Active FINRA Series 7 license or ability to obtain within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead research, due diligence, and selection for Liquid Alternative funds, SMAs, and ETFs.
• Serve as primary research owner for Liquid Alternatives, covering managers and opportunities.
• Analyze investment managers on philosophy, process, people, performance, risk, and operations.
• Perform ongoing due diligence and engage with portfolio management teams.
• Prepare investment research reports and manager scorecards for committees.
• Deliver recommendations on additions, retention, watches, and removals from lists.
• Communicate insights to investment committees, leadership, advisors, and partners.
• Build relationships with external managers and strategic partners.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Liquid Alternatives and industry developments.
• Support advisor education, marketing reviews, product development, and cross-functional projects.
