Job summary

Columbia Threadneedle Investments in Minneapolis, MN, seeks a Senior Analyst - WMS Manager Research to lead manager research, due diligence, and selection for Liquid Alternative strategies across mutual funds, SMAs, and ETFs. The role interacts with external managers and internal committees to deliver high-quality recommendations.

The position requires 5+ years in investment research, strong quantitative/qualitative skills, and proficiency with FactSet, Morningstar Direct, and Bloomberg.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in investment research or due diligence.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Investments, or related field.
• Experience evaluating investment products and managers using qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Proficiency with FactSet, Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, or similar tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting to senior stakeholders.
• FINRA Series 7 license or ability to obtain within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead manager research, due diligence, and selection for Liquid Alternative mutual funds, SMAs, and ETFs.
• Maintain coverage of assigned managers and identify new investment opportunities.
• Analyze investment philosophy, process, people, performance, portfolio construction, risk, and operations.
• Prepare and maintain investment research reports, manager scorecards, and updates for committees.
• Engage with external managers and internal stakeholders to communicate insights and recommendations.
