Job summary

Ameriprise Financial in Minneapolis is seeking a senior investment research professional to lead manager due diligence for Liquid Alternative strategies across mutual funds, SMAs, and ETFs. You will serve as the primary research owner for the Liquid Alternatives asset class, coordinating with portfolio management and engaging with external managers to support investment decisions.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of experience in investment research, manager due diligence, or related roles.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Investments, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience evaluating investment products/managers using qualitative and quantitative methods.
Strong analytical and communication skills; able to present to senior stakeholders and committees.

Responsibilities

Lead research, due diligence, and selection for Liquid Alternative funds, SMAs, and ETFs.
Maintain coverage of assigned managers and identify new opportunities.
Prepare reports, scorecards, and updates for committees and leadership.
Communicate insights and recommendations effectively to internal partners.
