Job summary

Western Union is seeking a Senior Global Mobility and Immigration leader to manage end-to-end programs, partnering with HR, Legal, Finance, and external providers to ensure compliant, scalable mobility solutions.

You will oversee U.S. immigration, coordinate international cases, administer I-9 and E-Verify, develop governance frameworks, monitor regulatory changes, and lead cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in Global Mobility, Immigration, Global HR Operations, Total Rewards, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience managing employment-based immigration programs.
• Experience managing global mobility and immigration programs across multiple countries or regions.
• Experience administering Form I-9 and E-Verify programs, including employment authorization verification, compliance requirements, record retention, and audit support.

Job description

Role Responsibilities

You will lead global mobility and immigration programs, partnering with HR, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Finance, Payroll, business leaders, and external providers to deliver compliant, scalable, and employee-focused mobility solutions. You will serve as a trusted advisor on immigration and mobility matters while driving program effectiveness, governance, and continuous improvement.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, immigration counsel, mobility providers, and internal stakeholders on mobility and immigration matters globally.
• Manage end-to-end global mobility and immigration programs globally, with primary responsibility for U.S. immigration programs and oversight of international immigration case initiation and vendor coordination across EMEA and APAC.
• Oversee employment-based immigration and work authorization programs, including sponsorship, renewals, permanent residence processes, compliance, and case management.
• Administer U.S. employment eligibility compliance programs, including Form I-9 and E-Verify processes, audit readiness, remediation activities, record retention, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Finance, Payroll, Compensation, and business leaders to align mobility and immigration activities with business objectives, employee needs, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance on policy interpretation, relocations, international assignments, and cross-border employment matters.
• Support global mobility program administration, including relocation coordination, assignment documentation, vendor management, international immigration support, and employee mobility services.
• Develop and maintain mobility and immigration policies, governance standards, compliance frameworks, and operational procedures.
• Manage relationships with immigration counsel, mobility providers, relocation vendors, and other external partners to ensure effective and compliant service delivery.
• Monitor regulatory developments, industry trends, and program metrics to recommend process improvements and enhance the employee experience.
• Lead mobility and immigration projects that support organizational growth, workforce needs, and operational effectiveness.

• *Applicants must be based in Miami or Atlanta or willing to relocate to Miami or Atlanta to work from the Miami or Atlanta office a minimum of three days a week. Western Union will not assist with relocation costs for this position.

Role Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in Global Mobility, Immigration, Global HR Operations, Total Rewards, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience managing employment-based immigration programs.
• Experience managing global mobility and immigration programs across multiple countries or regions.
• Experience managing U.S. employment-based immigration programs, including work authorization and compliance requirements.
• Experience administering Form I-9 and E-Verify programs, including employment authorization verification, compliance requirements, record retention, and audit support.
• Experience partnering with external immigration counsel, mobility providers, or relocation vendors.
• Experience developing or administering mobility and immigration policies, processes, or governance programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Global Mobility Specialist (GMS), SHRM, SPHR, or similar certification.
• Experience supporting global mobility programs, including relocations and international assignments across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
• Professional proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese to support employees, managers, vendors, and external partners across the Americas.
• Experience working in a multinational or highly matrixed organization.
• Experience using technology, automation, or AI tools to improve mobility and immigration processes.
• Experience analyzing program metrics and identifying opportunities for operational improvement.

Salary

The base salary range is $90,000 – $110,000 USD per year. Total on-target compensation includes a base salary and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
