Job summary

The Walt Disney Company in Santa Monica seeks a Senior Analyst to support Disney+ International and the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) subscriber growth strategy. You will model subscriber growth, track KPIs, and help present growth plans to leadership, collaborating with regional teams and central DTC functions.

You will analyze factors affecting subscriber trends, identify opportunities, and help quantify strategic initiatives against market dynamics to drive earnings and subscriber expansion.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of professional work experience in media, tech, strategy, business planning, management consulting, or investment banking/private equity.
• Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance, Economics or similar field with an analytical bias.
• Strong Excel-based business modeling skills are required, including analyzing large amounts of data to drive decision making; experience modeling subscription or recurring-revenue businesses is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (including PowerPoint) and ability to simplify sophisticated matters for an executive audience
• Ability to work cross functionally in a team environment, managing many stakeholders and building relationships throughout the company
• Extremely organized with the ability to prioritize activities, manage timelines, and deal effectively with pressure
• Self-motivated and comfortable working without mentorship, in a fast-growing environment with multiple partners
• A passion for the media industry, international business, and content as well as a natural curiosity
• Familiarity with working in or with global, large organizations is a plus
• Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of international business is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist the region manager in collaborating with local regional teams on the subscriber business planning process with full understanding and justification of key underlying subscription metrics based on in-depth trending analysis and assessment of future initiatives.
• Forecast and model how subscribers will be impacted by internal factors (content, product, etc.) and external factors (macroeconomics, competitors, etc.), working with local and centralized DTC teams to incorporate latest initiatives.
• Develop impactful presentation materials that communicate subscriber projections, drivers, performance, and risks to leadership.
• Provide strategic recommendations for new business initiatives and analyze large amounts of subscriber data from previous events to support decision making.
