Job summary

Lifepoint Health, Inc. is seeking a Senior Analyst, Financial Reimbursement to prepare, analyze and submit Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for behavioral health and rehabilitation facilities. You will reconcile accruals, update rate assumptions and support audits across our facilities.

This role requires 3-5 years in cost reporting and knowledge of GAAP, strong Excel/MS Office skills, and the ability to translate complex reimbursement rules into actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid rules and regulations.
• Excellent communication, organization and analytical skills.
• Proficient use of cost reporting software, and MS applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• 3-5 years cost reporting and third-party accounting experience; knowledge of GAAP accounting.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in preparing, reviewing and submitting Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
• Reviews monthly revenue and contractual adjustments accruals.
• Updates Medicare rate assumptions and investigates payment discrepancies.
• Coordinates audits of assigned facilities and responds to audit adjustments.
• Reconciles reimbursement settlement accounts.
• Assists management in development of policies, procedures, reports and other tools to improve work product.
• May prepare various financial or statistical analyses, reconciliations, research, or other special projects as necessary.

Senior Analyst, Financial Reimbursement must actively participate in the preparation, analysis and submission of Medicaid/Medicare cost reports for free-standing Behavioral Health and Rehabilitation Hospitals, complete settlement accruals based on interim cost reports, and support management in all reimbursement related matters for assigned facilities. The Senior Analyst must be a career oriented professional.
