Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Senior Analyst, Financial Reimbursement to support Medicaid/Medicare cost reports across Behavioral Health facilities. The role emphasizes accuracy in settlements, accruals, rate assumptions, and audits to support the mission of healthier communities.

You will work in a remote capacity, contributing to financial analysis, policy development, and cross-functional collaboration with facilities and management. A strong background in cost reporting and GAAP is required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years cost reporting and third-party accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting.
• Proficient use of cost reporting software and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in preparing, analyzing and submitting Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
• Reviews monthly revenue and contractual adjustment accruals.
• Updates Medicare rate assumptions and investigates payment discrepancies.
• Coordinates audits of assigned facilities.
• Responds to proposed audit adjustments.
• Reconciles reimbursement settlement accounts.
• Assists management in developing policies, procedures, reports and tools.

A Senior Analyst, Financial Reimbursement must actively participate in the preparation, analysis and submission of Medicaid/Medicare cost reports for free-standing Behavioral Health and Rehabilitation Hospitals, complete settlement accruals based on interim cost reports, and support management in all reimbursement related matters for assigned facilities. The Senior Analyst must be a career oriented professional.

How You'll Contribute

• Actively participates in department's mission to prepare, review and submit Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
• Reviews or prepares monthly revenue and contractual adjustment accruals.
• Updates Medicare rate assumptions, investigates payment discrepancies.
• Coordinates audits of assigned facilities.
• Responds to proposed audit adjustments.
• Reconciles reimbursement settlement accounts.
• Assists management in development of policies, procedures, reports and other tools to improve work product.
• May prepare various financial or statistical analyses, reconciliations, research, or other special projects as necessary.

• Excellent communication, organization and analytical skills.
• Proficient use of cost reporting software, and MS applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, systems or other degree with equivalent experience.

Experience

• 3-5 years cost reporting and third-party accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting.
