Job summary

The Ministry of Justice is seeking a PECS Analysis Team Analyst to support the Prison Escort and Custody Service through data-driven projections, scenario modelling and KPI monitoring. You will work within a hybrid UK-wide framework, engaging with stakeholders to inform outcomes across the Criminal Justice System.

Strong analytical capability with experience in forecasting, data manipulation and tools such as R, Python and Excel is essential.

Qualifications

Significant work experience evidencing use of data and/or analytical skills.
Practical knowledge of forecasting techniques and data-driven decision making.
Proficiency in analytical tools and languages such as R or Python, Excel.

Responsibilities

Update projections as part of the bi-annual projections cycle with operational input from PECS colleagues.
Monitor key assumptions and drivers to identify trends, risks and variances.
Support Contract Management with BAU mobilisation of current contracts and KPI monitoring.
Provide analytical support for the PECS Programme with the re-tendering of the PECS.
Undertake targeted deep dives into specific issues with evidence and insight for decision-making.
Provide scenario modelling to support strategic and operational decision-making.
