Job summary

American Airlines in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a data analytics professional to join the Integrated Operations Team. You will analyze crew operations data, build predictive models and deliver reports and presentations to executive leadership.

You will develop statistical models, data visualizations, and prescriptive plans using SQL, SAS, Python, and Excel, collaborating with Crew Scheduling, Planning, Flight, IOC and other teams to improve crew performance.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related experience
• Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field
• 1 year of experience with SQL querying and/or reporting or equivalent coursework
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles

Responsibilities

• Derive meaningful and actionable insights from data to improve crew operations
• Develops statistical predictive models on large-scale datasets
• Builds optimization and combinatorics models for optimal resource allocations
• Performs advanced business analysis using SQL and SAS to develop prescriptive operational improvement plans
• Builds data visualization tools for root cause analysis
• Automates and improves programs, processes, reports and forecasts using SAS Macros, Excel VBA, SQL
• Analyzes and develops requirements and provides documentation for IT projects
• Develops presentations and presents findings to key stakeholders and senior management
• Collaborates with Crew Scheduling, Crew Planning, Flight, IOC and other teams to improve crew performance
