This role transforms commercial data into actionable insights, recommendations, and analytical solutions that support business decision-making, performance improvement, and growth.As part of a growing Insights & Analytics function, this position offers the opportunity to help shape how data, analytics, business intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies are leveraged to drive commercial performance across the organization.What You'll Be DoingCommercial Analytics & InsightsAnalyze customer, product, market, competitive, and commercial performance data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and business performance driversTranslate business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable recommendationsSupport strategic commercial initiatives through data-driven analysis and decision supportDevelop and present clear, compelling insights and business stories to stakeholders and leadershipSupport forecasting activities through trend analysis, scenario evaluation, and assessment of key commercial driversReporting, Business Intelligence & Analytics SolutionsDevelop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, KPIs, and analytical tools that support commercial decision-makingIdentify opportunities to automate recurring reporting and analytical processesWork across multiple internal and external data sources to develop integrated views of commercial performanceSupport data quality, consistency, and usability of commercial data assetsPartner with stakeholders, IT, and external resources as needed to support reporting, analytics, automation, and data initiativesEvaluate emerging analytics, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities that can improve business intelligence, efficiency, and decision-makingBusiness PartnershipPartner with Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Finance, and Leadership to identify analytical opportunities and address business challengesSupport executive reporting, performance reviews, and ongoing commercial performance managementProvide analytical support for sales force effectiveness, territory performance, incentive compensation reporting, and other commercial operations initiativesLead analytical projects and workstreams with a high degree of independence.Mentor and support junior analysts and contribute to the continued evolution of the organization's analytics capabilitiesWhat We're Looking ForBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field5+ years of experience in Commercial Analytics, Business Analytics, Sales Analytics, Marketing Analytics, or a related analytical roleExperience within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, life sciences, or other complex commercial environmentsExperience working with large and complex datasets from multiple sourcesExperience developing dashboards and analytical solutions using Power BI or TableauAdvanced Excel and data analysis skillsStrong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skillsDemonstrated ability to translate data into insights and business recommendationsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Finance, or Commercial Leadership organizationsKnowledge of SQL and relational data concepts, including joins, relationships, and data modelsExperience with Power Query, DAX, Microsoft Fabric, Salesforce, Azure, or similar technologiesExperience with forecasting, segmentation, targeting, sales force effectiveness, customer analytics, or commercial performance managementFamiliarity with Python, R, AI, generative AI, or other emerging analytics technologiesCompetitive base salary based on experience and qualifications: $109,000-130,000 (subject to variation).Posted salary ranges are provided in good faith. embecta reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, external market conditions, and internal equity considerations.Base pay is one component of the Total Rewards package at embecta, which also includes eligibility for an annual bonus.
