Job summary

embecta is seeking a Senior Analyst, Commercial Insights & Analytics to partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Leadership. You will transform commercial data into actionable insights, build dashboards, and support forecasting across multiple data sources to drive business growth.

Qualifications

The Senior Analyst, Commercial Insights & Analytics serves as a strategic partner to Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Finance, and Commercial Leadership. This role transforms commercial data into actionable insights, recommendations, and analytical solutions that support business decision-making, performance improvement, and growth. As part of a growing Insights & Analytics function, this position offers the opportunity to help shape how data, analytics, business intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies are leveraged to drive commercial performance across the organization.

What You'll Be Doing

• Commercial Analytics & Insights Analyze customer, product, market, competitive, and commercial performance data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and business performance drivers
• Translate business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable recommendations
• Support strategic commercial initiatives through data-driven analysis and decision support
• Develop and present clear, compelling insights and business stories to stakeholders and leadership
• Support forecasting activities through trend analysis, scenario evaluation, and assessment of key commercial drivers
• Reporting, Business Intelligence & Analytics Solutions Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, KPIs, and analytical tools that support commercial decision-making
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring reporting and analytical processes
• Work across multiple internal and external data sources to develop integrated views of commercial performance
• Support data quality, consistency, and usability of commercial data assets
• Partner with stakeholders, IT, and external resources as needed to support reporting, analytics, automation, and data initiatives
• Evaluate emerging analytics, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities that can improve business intelligence, efficiency, and decision-making
• Business Partnership Partner with Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Finance, and Leadership to identify analytical opportunities and address business challenges
• Support executive reporting, performance reviews, and ongoing commercial performance management
• Provide analytical support for sales force effectiveness, territory performance, incentive compensation reporting, and other commercial operations initiatives
• Lead analytical projects and workstreams with a high degree of independence.
• Mentor and support junior analysts and contribute to the continued evolution of the organization’s analytics capabilities

What We’re Looking For

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Commercial Analytics, Business Analytics, Sales Analytics, Marketing Analytics, or a related analytical role
• Experience within medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, life sciences, or other complex commercial environments
• Experience working with large and complex datasets from multiple sources
• Experience developing dashboards and analytical solutions using Power BI or Tableau
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated ability to translate data into insights and business recommendations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Sales, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Finance, or Commercial Leadership organizations
• Knowledge of SQL and relational data concepts, including joins, relationships, and data models
• Experience with Power Query, DAX, Microsoft Fabric, Salesforce, Azure, or similar technologies
• Experience with forecasting, segmentation, targeting, sales force effectiveness, customer analytics, or commercial performance management
• Familiarity with Python, R, AI, generative AI, or other emerging analytics technologies

Competitive base salary based on experience and qualifications: $109,000-130,000 (subject to variation). Posted salary ranges are provided in good faith. embecta reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, external market conditions, and internal equity considerations. Base pay is one component of the Total Rewards package at embecta, which also includes eligibility for an annual bonus.
