Simon Property Group is seeking a data-savvy business analyst to drive AI-powered improvements across Lease Services. You will partner with department leaders to identify operational challenges, translate needs into actionable AI/use-case roadmaps, and deliver impactful dashboards and reports for senior management.

The role requires strong problem-solving, adaptability, and excellent communication, with a focus on improving productivity and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, computer science, technology, analytics, information systems, or a related field preferred, with demonstrated experience applying technology to improve business processes.
  • Business analyst, operations, consulting, or process improvement background.
  • Experience with one or more AI tools or platforms, such as Claude Code, Gemini, Copilot, Harvey, or similar technologies, preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Curious, adaptable, and passionate about business innovation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Sharepoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Project Management experience a plus
  • Ability to identify trends, measure KPI’s, and provide actionable insights to support business decision making.
  • Detail-oriented with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements, partnering with department leaders to understand operational challenges, define desired outcomes, and implement solutions that deliver measurable business value, increased efficiency, and user adoption.
  • Develop AI use case roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Document requirements and translate business needs into AI or non-AI solution designs while coordinating with IT and business teams during implementation.
  • Support change management, training, and user adoption efforts.
  • Stay informed of emerging tech capabilities (including AI) and recommend innovative applications.
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, and Ad-hoc leasing and legal performance reports to surface actionable insights and influence decision-making.
  • Works with management to streamline reporting processes, develop new reports based on business needs, and determine business value of existing reports based on current business needs.
  • Performs data quality/consistency review in various systems and databases, including but not limited to the following: Identifies and reviews issues with data related to human error, programming or processes and coordinates resolution with Financial Operations or the appropriate parties.
  • Ensures that the data is accurate and current as Leasing and Senior Management utilizes these reports to make sound business decisions.
  • Responsible for performing ad-hoc analysis, report development, and presentation of key findings as directed by new business requirements and Senior Management.
  • Works as a SME between Lease Services and other departments to troubleshoot and coordinate the resolution of bugs/data issues across systems.
  • Is a key player in driving business innovation to modernize how our leasing business functions.

Job Location: Corporate Indianapolis

PRIMARY PURPOSE: This role is designed for a naturally curious, business-minded problem solver who stays informed on new and emerging technologies and understands how business processes work in the real world. The position serves as the connection point between business needs and technology solutions—identifying operational challenges, exploring practical applications of AI and other emerging tools, and helping turn complex business problems into smarter, more efficient, and scalable solutions. Partners with business leaders to identify operational challenges, streamline workflows, and implement new solutions that improve productivity, decision-making, and employee effectiveness. This role serves as the bridge between business teams and technology teams, translating real-world business needs into practical AI use cases and measurable outcomes. Prepare and analyze all reporting for Lease Services used by the Executive team. Perform ad-hoc analysis and communicate key findings as needed. The functions of this role are designed with the purpose of obtaining the execution of documents in a timely manner to facilitate the tenant opening quicker. Accomplished by guiding the business in making informed decisions to enhance processes, strengthen leasing strategy, and transform data into actionable insights. Position requires flexibility to adjust to changing tasks as the needs arise and the department evolves.
