Senior Analyst, Artificial Intelligence Western Union is seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Senior Analyst, Artificial Intelligence to support the Digital GTM organization by developing, deploying, and scaling AI-driven solutions that improve business decision-making, operational efficiency, and growth outcomes. This role will serve as a key AI practitioner within the GTM team, responsible for building and maintaining AI agents, developing business and semantic context to improve AI effectiveness, and creating scalable AI-powered capabilities that generate actionable insights. The individual will partner closely with Marketing, Product, Pricing, Analytics, Risk, Payments, and regional GTM leaders to translate business needs into practical AI solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical capabilities with business acumen and a passion for applying artificial intelligence to solve complex business challenges. This role requires both hands-on execution and the ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams to identify opportunities and deliver measurable business impact. Role Responsibilities
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain AI-powered solutions that support business analysis, decision-making, and operational efficiency across the GTM organization.
  • Build and manage AI agents that automate workflows, answer business questions, generate insights, and improve productivity.
  • Design and implement scalable AI workflows leveraging large language models (LLMs), retrieval frameworks, semantic search, and agentic architectures.
  • Monitor AI solution performance and continuously optimize outputs, reliability, and business impact.
  • Develop and maintain business context, taxonomies, semantic models, and knowledge assets that improve AI accuracy and relevance.
  • Translate business terminology, operating metrics, and GTM processes into structured knowledge frameworks that can be leveraged by AI solutions.
  • Ensure AI agents and models utilize accurate business definitions, KPIs, customer segmentation frameworks, and operational terminology.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to continuously improve organizational knowledge assets and training data.
  • Leverage AI tools and advanced analytics techniques to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and growth drivers.
  • Deliver actionable insights that support customer acquisition, retention, transactions, revenue growth, and operational optimization.
  • Develop automated reporting, insight generation, and decision-support capabilities for GTM leaders.
  • Support strategic initiatives through data analysis, experimentation, forecasting, and performance measurement.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for AI capability requests across GTM and cross-functional organizations.
  • Evaluate incoming business requests and prioritize opportunities based on business impact, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
  • Gather requirements, define use cases, document success metrics, and coordinate solution delivery.
  • Educate stakeholders on AI capabilities, best practices, and emerging technology opportunities.
  • Ensure AI solutions comply with company policies, data governance standards, risk requirements, and responsible AI principles.
  • Document AI use cases, methodologies, processes, and implementation standards.
  • Research emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative applications that support Western Union’s digital growth strategy.
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the GTM AI roadmap and capability portfolio.
  • Build effective partnerships across business and technical teams and communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, business-friendly manner.
  • Promote innovation, curiosity, continuous learning, and serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders seeking AI-driven solutions.
Role Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, business intelligence, data science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience developing AI, machine learning, automation, or advanced analytics solutions.
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and ability to deliver high-quality AI solutions and measurable business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience developing AI agents, copilots, knowledge assistants, or workflow automation solutions.
  • Experience with LLM platforms such as Claude, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Snowflake Cortex, Microsoft Copilot Studio, or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience with semantic search, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and agent orchestration frameworks.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, data visualization platforms, and cloud-based AI solutions.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, digital commerce, financial services, or technology organizations.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI, governance, and model evaluation best practices.
  • Experience with machine learning, API integrations, cloud technologies, vector databases, data engineering concepts, or product analytics.
Work Shift HYBRID – Western Union values in-person collaboration, problem solving, and ideation whenever possible.

Salary

The base salary range is $110,000 – $140,000 USD per year; total on-target earnings include a base salary and short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
