American Airlines in Mississippi, USA is seeking an Analyst/Senior Analyst to support import/export compliance and CBP-related processes. You will coordinate with multiple internal and external parties, classify items, review CBP decisions, and ensure adherence to CFR19 and related guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience with cross-functional coordination and compliance tasks.
• Familiarity with import/export processes and CBP-related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine examinations to ensure compliance with applicable guidelines.
• Manages HTSUS, CFR19, and related classification tasks for AA.
• Coordinates with internal and external offices, CBP, and customs brokers.
• Assigns classifications and reviews CBP rulings and notes.
• Ensures regulatory requirements for imported stock are met (FDA/FCC/EPA, etc.).
• Updates and maintains company policy manuals and procedures.
• Conducts pre- and post-entry reviews and implements corrections.
• Responds to CBP and other government inquiries and resolves issues.
• Responds to customs brokers and manages import shipments.
• Plans corrective actions for CBP submissions and supports internal audits.
• Facilitates internal department reviews to ensure policy compliance.
• Ensures ISF filings are completed accurately and on time.
• Trains internal clients on import requirements.
