Macdonald & Company is exclusively retained by a leading owner-operator of industrial real estate in the U.S. to appoint a Senior Analyst of Acquisitions based in Dallas. This role will support the expansion of the portfolio across Texas and the Mountain West region.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on Excel-based financial modeling (DCF and comps) and preferably be proficient in ARGUS. Strong communication and accountability are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in real estate investments, acquisitions, or finance.
• Proficient in Excel-based financial modeling and data analysis.
• Familiar with ARGUS or similar real estate financial software.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage financial models to assess investment viability
• Cultivate industry relationships and monitor market activity
• Aggregate listings, transactions, leasing activity, and land sales for underwriting
• Visit investment sites to support deal analysis
• Evaluate asset- and market-level fundamentals, including tenant health
• Assist in structuring and negotiating acquisition terms

Macdonald & Company is excited to be exclusively retained by a leading owner-operator of industrial real estate in the U.S. to appoint a Senior Analyst of Acquisitions based in Dallas. This individual will support the expansion of the portfolio across Texas and the Mountain West region.

Our client, a private investment firm focused on commercial real estate, is hiring an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Analyst to support the evaluation, due diligence, and acquisition of industrial properties, continuing through to operational handoff.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, team-oriented, and thrive in a dynamic environment. They will bring hands-on experience with Excel-based financial modeling (e.g., discounted cash flow and comparable analyses) and preferably be proficient in tools such as ARGUS. Strong communication skills and a high level of accountability are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and manage financial models to assess investment viability
• Cultivate industry relationships and stay up to date with market activity
• Aggregate and monitor active listings, closed transactions, leasing activity, and land sales to inform underwriting assumptions
• Visit prospective investment sites and comparable properties to support deal analysis
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of asset-level and market-level fundamentals, including tenant health and local competition
• Assist in the structuring and negotiation of acquisition terms
• Support financing efforts by helping secure acquisition and/or development debt
• Oversee diligence processes from kickoff through close, including consultant engagement and document analysis
• Facilitate transaction closings, coordinating third-party service providers and managing settlement documentation
• Collaborate with asset management to inform business plans and property performance strategies
• Help prepare annual operating and capital expenditure budgets for owned assets

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Enthusiastic about commercial real estate, ideally with exposure to or interest in industrial property sectors
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in real estate investments, acquisitions, or finance
• Based in or open to relocating to the Dallas-Fort Worth area
• Solid foundation in real estate financial concepts
• Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate large datasets and build cash flow models
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to self-direct and prioritize in a fast-moving environment
