Job description

JRAD is seeking candidates for a proposal position supporting the OUSD. This position is located in Pentagon, DC. The role involves developing artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing algorithms; designing AI solutions to solve business problems; implementing complex data systems; presenting research and making suggestions to leadership; and recommending changes to existing models with a focus on innovative algorithms.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Advanced model development: Ten (10) years' experience designing, constructing, and implementing sophisticated ML and deep learning models to solve complex analytical problems.
• Algorithm expertise: Eight (8) years' experience with supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning.
• System architecture & optimization: Ten (10) years' experience leading continuous improvement, re-architecting, and updating existing AI/ML systems to create efficient, scalable, and self‑learning applications.
• Model performance tuning, feature engineering, and deploying models into production environments (MLOps).
• MLOps & scalability: Ten (10) years' experience designing and implementing robust MLOps pipelines for automated training, validation, deployment, and monitoring of models at scale.
• Cloud‑based AI/ML platforms and containerization technologies.
• Advanced data & statistical analysis: Ten (10) years' experience in statistical analysis, experimental design, and data storytelling to extract actionable insights from large, complex datasets.
• Data governance, quality, and ensuring ethical use of data and algorithms: Eight (8) years' experience.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Military or Department of Defense experience.
• Eight (8) years' experience communicating complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders, to drive adoption and demonstrate value.
• TS/SCI (SAP eligible).

Required Skills and Education

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in web design, computer science, mathematics, or engineering.
