Job summary

Refrigeration Systems Construction and Service in Yuma, AZ seeks experienced ammonia refrigeration service technicians to troubleshoot, service, and startup industrial ammonia systems in the field. You will read P&IDs and control drawings, communicate findings clearly to customers, and help keep critical equipment operating safely and reliably.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with ammonia refrigeration systems required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and safe work habits.
• Ability to work independently in the field while contributing to a professional team.
• Experience with compressors, controls, valves, motors, electrical troubleshooting, and system startups strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel and participate in on-call service as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, service, repair, and maintain industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose issues involving compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, controls, VFDs, and related equipment.
• Perform emergency service, leak response, preventive maintenance, system evaluations, and startup support.
• Read and work from P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control drawings.
• Communicate findings, repair needs, and recommendations clearly to customers and internal teams.
• Complete accurate field documentation and follow strong safety practices on every job.
• Help customers reduce downtime, improve reliability, and keep refrigeration systems operating as they should.
