Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is seeking a senior AML Compliance Counsel to join our Legal and Compliance team. You will provide strategic guidance on anti-money laundering and sanctions programs across global operations and collaborate with cross-functional teams across time zones.

The role requires a JD with in-house or multinational experience in sanctions, AML, and BSA, plus strong analytical and communication skills. Willingness to travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school and qualified to practice law in the U.S.
• Proven combined legal and compliance in-house experience with a multinational company, in areas like sanctions, AML, Bank Secrecy Act, payments, and financial regulations.
• Demonstrates expert-level analytical skills and sound regulatory judgment with clear business impact.
• Strong written and oral communication, able to adapt for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and influence a culture of compliance across the organization.
• Advise on AML/CTF programs to comply with global laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with payments, product, security, privacy, internal audit, and business verticals to implement enhancements to monitoring and reporting of suspicious activity.
• Counsel global government relations on regulatory changes in AML and sanctions areas.
• Maintain and improve AML/CTF policies and procedures.
• Lead internal compliance trainings as needed.
