TikTok is seeking a Global Senior Sanctions Compliance Counsel to join our Global Legal Compliance team in San Jose. You will advise on sanctions issues across US, UK, EU, UN, and other regimes, partner with cross‑functional teams, and drive risk-based decisions in a fast-paced, global environment.

Ideal candidates possess deep sanctions/AML knowledge, strong client engagement skills, and a track record of leading complex matters with autonomy and integrity while aligning with business

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret complex legal concepts and apply them to business.

Responsibilities

• Lead sanctions program guidance for US, UK, EU, UN, and SG regimes for ByteDance/TikTok.
• Advise stakeholders on sanctions issues and provide practical solutions.
• Conduct risk assessments and remediation plans for sanction program.
• Manage multiple priorities across stakeholders and time zones.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sanctions regulation trends.
• Provide guidance to improve sanctions screening and operationalization.
• Support internal investigations and partner with investigation teams.
• Lead internal compliance training with regional counsel.
