Job summary

EY Consulting is seeking an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Program Management Senior Manager to lead large-scale AMI transformations for North American utilities. You will shape opportunities, guide multi-workstream delivery, and build relationships with senior utility stakeholders across PMO, change management, field deployment, and benefits realization.

The role requires 10+ years in AMI program management, consulting experience, and the ability to travel 65–80%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Business or a related field
Approximately 10+ years of direct AMI program management experience with hands-on accountability
Experience leading large North American AMI deployments across planning, mobilization, delivery and operationalization
Professional services or consulting experience delivering client engagements under formal commercial constructs
Approximately three+ years of consulting experience including stakeholder management and client-ready deliverables
Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to enhance delivery and client outcomes
Ability to manage multiple priorities, facilitate meetings, and sustain delivery momentum in dynamic environments
Strong executive communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to lead inclusive teams, contribute to account growth, and manage multi-vendor delivery with change control and milestones
Experience leading large multi-workstream teams including onshore and offshore delivery
Travel willingness between 65-80%
Experience shaping pursuits, RFPs and proposals for AMI or utility programs

Responsibilities

Lead complex AMI pursuits and delivery engagements with focus on quality and commercial discipline
Lead AMI program management pursuits including strategy, pricing, proposals and approvals
Build trusted relationships with senior utility stakeholders and represent the practice in governance forums
Guide AMI program delivery across planning, mobilization, design, requirements, readiness, field deployment, testing and operationalization
Stand up and operate integrated PMOs with governance, planning and reporting
Manage multi-workstream teams with staffing, deliverable acceptance and change orders
Develop AMI delivery methods, reusable assets and scalable delivery capabilities
