Job summary

EY Consulting is seeking an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Program Management Senior Manager to lead large-scale AMI transformations for Power & Utilities clients across North America.

You will shape opportunities, manage multi-workstream delivery across PMO, organizational change, and field deployment, and build senior stakeholder relationships. Travel 65–80% is expected, with a flexible hybrid work model and broad client exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Business or a related field is required.
• Approximately 10 or more years of direct AMI program management experience.
• Experience leading large North American AMI deployments.
• Professional services or consulting experience delivering client engagements.
• Approximately three or more years of consulting experience.
• Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to enhance delivery.
• Strong ability to lead multi-workstream teams and manage stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel 65–80% and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead AMI program management pursuits, including client strategy, solution development, pricing, proposals, orals and internal approvals.
• Build trusted relationships with senior utility stakeholders and represent the practice in governance forums and pursuit discussions.
• Guide AMI program delivery across planning, mobilization, business process design, requirements, organizational readiness, field deployment, testing and operationalization.
• Stand up and operate integrated PMOs, including governance, planning, RAID and dependency management, change control, vendor coordination and executive reporting.
• Manage large, multi-workstream teams and fixed-fee engagement economics, including scope, staffing, deliverable acceptance, change orders, risks and quality.
• Develop AMI delivery methods, reusable assets and team capability while coaching workstream leads and supporting a high-performing culture.
