Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island is seeking a Sr. Associate, Ambulatory Surgery Sterile Processing to join ASC Manhasset.

The role ensures decontamination, sterilization, and preparation of instruments, maintaining compliance and supporting startup and daily handling of sterile supplies. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years in sterile processing, hold HSPA CBSP certification or CBSPD certificate, and demonstrate knowledge of aseptic techniques, quality monitoring, and instrument

Qualifications

• 5 years of Sterile Processing Tech experience.
• Certified and Registered Central Service Technician (HSPA) OR CBSP certification.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques, sterilization, infection control, and workflow requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and assigns workload each shift; ensures priority and loaner trays are ready.
• Reports issues to department supervisors for timely resolution.
• Monitors biological/sterility indicators and maintains records for regulatory compliance.
• Ensures proper use of Sterrad Sterilization System and washer/decontaminator equipment.
• Prepares surgical instruments and supplies for hospital services.
