Divergent is seeking a Senior AM Process Development Engineer to advance Laser Powder Bed Fusion, improve material properties, and reduce cost of goods. You will independently define project scope, coordinate with design, manufacturing and quality teams, and drive data-driven improvements to in-house AM equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, or related engineering field.
• 5+ Years of hands-on fabrication, assembly, testing, and/or technical project management experience.
• 5+ years - Developing L-PBF equipment, process parameters, and/or print file programming.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert in Laser Powder Bed Fusion and drive improvements to material capability and cost.
• Define project scope, align stakeholders, prioritize resources, and communicate progress.
• Characterize and qualify improvements to L-PBF equipment and materials.
• Develop print file toolpath techniques and process parameters for cost/performance.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to assess feasibility and risk.
