Job summary

Aloma Healthcare, Inc. in Huffman, TX is seeking an experienced caregiver/CNA to provide essential non-medical support for a client with ALS.

The role requires hands-on personal care, mobility assistance, meal prep, and close collaboration with the home health team. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of direct caregiving, with preference for CNA certification and experience with high-acuity care, including immobile clients and ventilators.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of direct, paid caregiving experience in a home care or similar professional setting.
• CNA certification is preferred but not required.
• Experience with high-acuity care, fully immobile clients, or ventilators is a major plus.
• Must pass a clean, comprehensive background check.
• Open availability and reliable transportation are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide total personal care and hygiene support for the client.
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning as needed.
• Plan and prepare meals, and support oral nutrition as outlined.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe care environment.
• Offer companionship and help with communication needs, including Eye-Gaze.
• Collaborate closely with the home health clinical team and report changes promptly.
