Job summary

Fortitude Reinsurance Company Ltd. is seeking a Senior Associate, Portfolio Management & ALM to monitor portfolios, analyze risk, and guide tactical decisions to enhance returns while maintaining liability alignment.

The role partners with asset managers to evaluate opportunities and with actuarial, risk, and finance teams on pricing and due diligence. You will engage in ongoing discussions about market opportunities, performance metrics, and risk controls, contributing to thoughtful investment

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in insurance asset management, fixed-income portfolio management, or liability-driven investment mandates.
• Familiarity with fixed-income markets across public and private sectors, ALM principles, and portfolio performance measurement.
• Strong technical background in analysis and reporting using MS Office; familiarity with Python or SQL is a plus.
• Ability to demonstrate ownership over responsibilities and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support daily management of existing asset portfolios, monitoring risk positions against cedant guidelines and internal risk thresholds.
• Engage in discussions with asset managers on market opportunities, portfolio performance, compliance with guidelines, and tactical shifts.
• Analyze and report on key drivers of portfolio performance against targets and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with asset managers to develop investment recommendations based on market conditions and ALM positioning.
• Evaluate prospective investments and their relative value versus alternatives.
• Assist with onboarding of new investment mandates.
• Work with Actuarial, Risk, Capital, Finance, and Treasury teams to support pricing, due-diligence, and company-wide initiatives.
• Build strong working relationships across the firm.
