Fortitude Reinsurance Company Ltd. (Fortitude Re) seeks a senior professional to lead Life & Annuity risk oversight, ALM modeling, and model risk governance in a hybrid Nashville-based role. The position partners with ERM to manage long-term liabilities and complex capital frameworks.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in long-term insurance risk, actuarial credentials, and strong experience with ALM projections, Bermuda EBS, and cross-functional stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience with long-term insurance liabilities.
• Strong Life & Annuity and financial modeling experience; ideally a credentialed actuary.
• Deep knowledge of life and annuity insurance/reinsurance, ALM, and capital frameworks.
• Working knowledge of the Bermuda EBS reserve and capital framework.
• Strong understanding of market, credit, and insurance risks affecting long-term liabilities.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently hold and defend a risk position.
• Experience using economic capital models for business decisions and solvency monitoring.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders, including subsidiary/parent relationships.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a robust risk management program with pragmatic oversight and review.
• Lead ERM support for Bermuda EBS activities, including reporting and model updates.
• Oversee ALM-related models for proper usage and consistency across models.
• Ensure governance and regulatory compliance for ALM model risk.
• Provide input to Model Governance and develop model risk reporting for audits.
• Manage an actuarial student and other team members; coordinate model reviews.
