Job summary

Fortitude Reinsurance Company Ltd. (Fortitude Re) seeks a Senior Associate in Portfolio Management & ALM to monitor performance and risk across fixed-income assets, aligning liability mandates and guiding tactical decisions.

You will collaborate with asset managers and internal teams (Actuarial, Risk, Capital, Finance, Treasury) to analyze drivers of returns, evaluate investments, and onboard new mandates. Requirements include a Bachelor's in Finance/Economics/Mathematics, 3+ years in insurance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Economics or Mathematics.
• Minimum 3+ years in insurance asset management or fixed-income portfolio management.
• Familiarity with ALM principles and performance measurement.
• Strong data analysis and reporting with MS Office; Python/SQL a plus.
• Ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support daily management of existing asset portfolios within cedant guidelines and risk thresholds.
• Engage with asset managers on market opportunities, portfolio performance and tactical shifts.
• Analyze and report on drivers of portfolio performance and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with asset managers to develop investment recommendations based on market conditions and ALM positioning.
• Evaluate prospective investments and their relative value versus alternatives.
• Assist with onboarding of new investment mandates.
• Coordinate with Actuarial, Risk, Capital, Finance, and Treasury on pricing and due diligence.
• Build strong working relationships across the firm.
