Job summary

TransMarket Group L.L.C. in Chicago seeks a Senior Algorithmic Trader to design and optimize automated trading strategies using C++, Python and Linux scripting.

You will lead a small team of Junior Traders, mentor their growth, and drive research on market microstructure and strategies on a dynamic desk. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in trading, strong math/finance knowledge, and proven success in quantitative trading in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's (or higher) in a technical field or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum five years in the trading industry with a focus on algorithms.
• Strong programming ability in C++ and Python, with Linux scripting a plus.
• Excellent math, statistics, and finance knowledge applicable to markets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expertise in market microstructure and automated trading systems.
• Build and maintain trading quantitative model tools and analytics.
• Develop, code, maintain and support production quality automated trading software.
• Improve strategies and trade execution via post-trade analyses and predictions.
• Manage a small group of Junior Traders and guide research and software projects.
• Mentor junior traders and support their learning on the desk.
• Assist recruitment initiatives to grow the team.
