TransMarket Group invites ambitious Algorithmic Trader Interns to join our Chicago office. You will work with Junior and Senior Traders to learn automated trading, study market microstructure, and build quantitative tools using Python and C++.

Candidates pursuing a technical degree with strong math, data structures, and programming coursework, 3.5 GPA minimum, onsite presence in Chicago, IL, and a passion for finance will fit well.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (C++, Python, Java) preferred.
• Experience with Linux scripting is a plus.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Junior and Senior Algorithmic Traders in automated trading workflows.
• Develop expertise in market microstructure, tick data, and trading systems.
• Build and maintain quantitative model tools and analytics.
• Learn and master programming languages used in trading.
• Develop, code, and support production-quality trading strategies.
• Engage in research projects within internship program.
