BairesDev is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Akka to join a fully remote, globally distributed team. You will design and implement concurrent, distributed applications using the actor model, ensuring high scalability and resilience across JVM-based environments.

You will collaborate with engineers worldwide, applying message-driven architectures and fault-tolerance strategies while maintaining excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in software engineering focusing on concurrent and distributed systems.
• Proven expertise with Akka and the actor model.
• Strong Scala and functional programming skills.
• Hands-on with message-driven architectures and reactive apps.
• Experience with clustering and sharding in distributed environments.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement highly concurrent, distributed applications using Akka and Scala.
• Develop message-driven architectures based on the actor model to ensure system isolation and responsiveness.
• Build resilient and self-healing systems with supervision and fault-tolerance strategies.
• Optimize distributed systems for high throughput and low latency in JVM environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define actor hierarchies and reactive system standards.
• Ensure stability and performance of elastic architectures through cluster management and monitoring.
