Job summary

McBride Consulting seeks a Senior Airworthiness/Aerosystems Engineer to support AFLCMC/HBS/WIW AWACS at Tinker AFB, OK. You will lead airworthiness certification efforts, advise on CDA/ACAT processes, and help align USAF acquisition activities with certification requirements.

The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, program-office collaboration, and the ability to operate in a hybrid, high-demand environment. U.S. citizenship and relevant clearance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive airworthiness certification experience and DoD/AF policy knowledge.
• Familiar with CFR Title 14, AFPD 62-6, AFI 62-601 and related DoD processes.
• Ability to define certification strategies and coordinate with multiple authorities.

Responsibilities

• Define airworthiness certification requirements and assess contractor compliance.
• Provide aircraft engineering insight for airworthiness development and program offices.
• Evaluate system designs for airworthiness conformance and resolve performance issues.
• Define taskings, gather inputs, and report to the program office.
• Support preparation of certification artifacts and documentation across the acquisition lifecycle.
