Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Senior Project Manager for its Airports team to lead large, complex airport design projects from planning through delivery. This role emphasizes contract negotiations, staffing, budgeting, risk management, and ensuring project performance against goals.

You will build strong client relationships, mentor staff, and drive adherence to quality standards while achieving financial targets for the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (preferred); associate degree with equivalent experience also acceptable.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the consulting industry and 10 years in airport project management.
• Strong understanding of engineering business consulting.
• Excellent client service orientation, communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
• Interpersonal and decision-making skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Oversees planning, execution, and delivery of large, complex airport design projects.
• Ensures project quality through best practices, reviews, and audits.
• Communicates project status to stakeholders and aligns goals and timelines.
• Manages resources, including staffing, budgeting, and procurement.
• Monitors milestones and progress using project management tools and methods.
• Identifies risks, develops contingency plans, and proactively addresses issues.
• Solicits client feedback to maintain high service levels and opportunities for improvement.
