Job summary

Olsson’s Airports team is seeking a Technical Expert to elevate technical expertise and project management across the firm. You will provide direction, internal consultation, and specialized services to clients, with potential travel to project sites.

The role requires a deep civil engineering background in airports, leadership skills, and ability to mentor staff while representing the firm in professional circles and contributing to Olsson’s Quality Management Program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences, construction, planning, landscape architecture or related area preferred.
• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an associate degree with equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum of 12 years’ experience in a civil engineering discipline with a focus on airports.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a subject matter expert, mentoring staff and elevating technical capabilities.
• Provides firmwide direction and services to clients in a specialized service or discipline.
• Maintains a strong reputation through papers, talks, and professional society involvement.
• Collaborates to develop strategies and best practices aligned with discipline trends and standards.
• Leads in assembling technical resources for key projects and ensures quality control.
